Volunteering on Holiday is a Win/Win

Sheryl S.

Updated: Jan 3, 2020

Work on vacation? No, thank you! But volunteer? Yes! Maybe because I don't think of myself as much older than 40 (which I am), I had no idea how many international volunteer programs are available for people who are 50+. Signing up to volunteer, either on your own or with friends or family, is a great way to see the world while doing good. If you don't want to spend all of your R&R time volunteering, search out local happenings to spend even just a couple of hours helping out. Whether it is cleaning up beaches, helping with childcare, working with animals, or protecting endangered wildlife, every bit helps to make an impact in the community you are visiting.
